From Intermittent to Consistent

Inconsistency on social media can be a double edged sword - damaging audience engagement and how the various platform algorithms approach your posts. And correcting it may feel nearly impossible. But with time and patience it can be done - here's how.

Project:

Transform an inconsistent social media presence into a steady, high-performing channel

The Challenge

The client’s social media activity was sporadic bursts of content followed by long quiet periods. While their audience valued their services, inconsistent posting meant they were rarely top-of-mind, and performance metrics reflected it: low engagement, stagnant reach, and slow follower growth.

The Strategy

Build a 3-month content rhythm focused on:

  • Strategic batching: Planning and creating social media activity in advance to maintain consistency.
  • Platform alignment: Tailoring post types and tone to each channel, and focusing on quality, not quantity.
  • Engagement optimisation: Mixing educational, inspirational, entertaining, and promotional content to invite authentic interaction.
  • Analytics feedback loop: Reviewing insights to refine and replicate what worked.

By combining structured scheduling with genuine storytelling, we aimed to shift the brand from “posting when there’s time” to showing up with intention.

The Results

Compared to the previous 3-month period:

  • Posts increased: 376%
  • Engagement up: 947%
  • Impressions up: 316%
  • Followers up: 2%, with LinkedIn  growing 8%

Beyond the numbers, the brand gained visibility, credibility, and confidence in their content. Their audience now recognises them as a consistent, reliable presence in their space.

The Outcome

The strategy identified when and where, the platforms and audience directed how and why. From this an achievable content schedule was developed that would support desired growth.

Consistency created momentum. Momentum built recognition. Recognition grew trust and that’s where conversion begins.

The Key Takeaway

Small businesses don’t need to post daily. They just need to post strategically and consistently. With the right rhythm, social media activity results compound fast.
